Character Descriptions

We have been learning to write character descriptions.  We focused on Grandma McGarvey....

Grandma McGarvey

She has rose red cheeks with a really long nose. Grandma McGarvey has tangly grey hair with a lovely and happy smile.  She wears funky clothes that never match.  She always wears something patterned. Grandma McGarvey has awfully pale skin.

When she tries to dive she just does a thunderous bellyflop.  She is the best at crafting clothes out of nothing it's like she's magic.  She always tries new things like playing rugby in a field like a mud bath and going sailing in terrible terrain.  Grandma Mcgarvey isn’t the best at swimming but at least she's enthusiastic  and creative.

She says this isn’t for me when she's doing it wrong. let's give a go when she finds something new.   “I’ll give it a go” when she's not really sure.  “I’m up for the challenge”.
When she’s going to try something new.
She is ready to explore  and always active.  She is silly  and inspirational  and always ready for something new.

She has squiggly curly grey hair. Her glasses are black and grey. Grandma Mcgarvey has a spotted night gown also she is quite chubby. She has a crinkly face and nose.

Also she goes for horrific adventures like going on the wide wide boat and going into a black as night storm. Or clinging onto a feisty warthog. Whatever adventure it is they’re always crazy. Once she drove to the smelly zoo and almost got gobbled by a terrifying lion.

“Pass it”, she says when Grandma Mcgarvey plays rugby. This ain’t for me when she did a huge belly flop into the pool. “Please to meet you”, when she accompanies others.

Grandma Mcgarvey is a hilarious and encouraging person. She is always full of happiness.

Writing

We watched a short video called 'Taking Flight' and used this as inspiration for our writing today.
Great work team, I was really impressed with your writing - we'll publish them on our drives.
