Technology Challenge with Room 16

Our challenge was to make a bridge that could hold a plastic cup.  

Materials:  10 straws, 4 sticks, tape, scissors.

Readers Theatre and Animal reports

Another busy week in Room 17!
It was Readers Theatre week - we learned our lines, made props and performed our plays. 
Earlier in the week we published our animal reports.

Sketching Challenge

Each Tuesday afternoon we have a sketching challenge set for us.  Today's was to sketch a Commonwealth Games athlete in action.  Here is a sample of the sketches we saw, don't you love the swimming sketch!

     

Fraction fun!

We are learning about fractions and how they compare to each other...we made these fraction monsters!

Science

We mixed together baking soda, tartaric acid, water, then observed.   There was fizzing, foaming and bubbling!
